It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the PSU website. This can be regarded as one of the main initiates in the modernization of the unions operations but also to bring the organization into the twenty first century. This will require that the membership embrace current and emerging technologies in the furtherance of aims and objectives of the organization. The internet is no doubt the communication medium of choice for young public servants as was so manifestly demonstrated during the Senator Obama’s campaign for the United States presidency in 2008.

Over the years meeting the information needs have always been a major challenge in the growth and development of the organization. This is quite evident from the issues raised at annual general meetings and other forums where members meet to discuss business of the union. It is therefore important that this information gap be bridged by the use of appropriate technologies and communication systems.  In this regard it is hoped that information provided will be relevant, current and timely and help the union to   respond adequately to the needs of the members. It is anticipated that this medium will also facilitate the active participation of members at all levels in the management of the organization. More>>
